Level 8 | Level 9 (SCC) | Level 10 |
Level 9 (SCC) is the ninth level, the ninth moves level in Steve's Candy Crush, and the ninth level of Newbie Landing. To pass this level, you must score at least 13,000 points in 7 moves. When there are no more moves left, Sugar Crush will activate all special candies and score you additional points.
This level is a tutorial level that teaches players the results of the striped+fish and striped+coconut wheel combos.
Difficulty[]
- There is a lack of difficulty on this level, as all you need to do is combine the coconut+striped as your first move, which will spread vertical striped candies across the whole entire row, and breaking the marmalade over the other combo. For your second move, just combine the fish+striped, which will produce 3 striped fish to random locations, and activate them.
Stars[]
: 10,000 (Difficulty: None) points
: 11,000 (Difficulty: Very easy) points
: 13,000 (Difficulty: Very easy) points
Strategy, and earning additional stars[]
See the difficulty section for the strategy. It is impossible to fail if you follow the strategy, as the coconut+striped is your only available move when you start, and it will reveal the striped+fish combo, which must be done as your second move.
- The results of the combos make the 2 and 3 star target scores very easily reached.
Previous versions[]
This level used to have 8 colors (the purple jelly was excluded from all Newbie Landing levels when Wafer Woods was released), the first move used to be the striped+fish, and the striped+coconut used to be under 3-layered marmalade (introduced prematurely). It also used to have 7 moves instead of 2. This version used to be highly dependent on luck, as the striped+fish combos would go to any 3 spaces, and if they didn't hit the marmalade, it was really hard to clear them. The star scores were also different, with the level requiring 13,000 points instead of 10,000.
Due to the luck dependent striped+fish combos, this version was variable, while leaning towards hard.
Notes[]
The layout remains the same every time the level is restarted.
Trivia[]
- This is the first level with an isolated space.
- This level was originally the first variable level and having more than 3 moves before it was nerfed.
- This level was released under the original "Candy Crush III: The Ultimate Game" beta.
